    Default Fever Question

So, with Lupus, when running a low grade fever, do we "ride it out"? or try to lower it?

When I had low grade fevers last year I took Paracetamol to lower it because even with a slight temperature I felt YUK. It made me feel a bit better and able to cope with the day. I rarely have temperatures now

for me, if it is low, low grade, i ride it out.
if it is a little raised, i use medication to help lower it, or i cant do anything.
i cannot regulate my temperature properly, so a rise in temperature can bring on fatigue.
it sends me to bed real quick.

darling daughter's boyfriend got her sick and she came home and gave it to me. I though those days were over when she moved out... Last night and today my temp has been running between 99-101.8. Such fun. Now starting to go down and feeling a bit better and looking forward to feeling better for the weekend.

Usually we ride it out simply because so many people with Lupus have a fever most of the time. If it gets over 100 or more you need to do something about it.

Thanks all. After 2 days straight of temp not dipping below 99 and usually hanging around 101, fever finally broke this morning.
