Tonight on 60 Minutes was a segment featuring medical con artists-Lawrence (Larry) Stowe of Stowe BioTherapy (I think), out of San Diego, CA, who was working with a Dr Frank Morales, an American living in Texas and practicing in Monterey, Mexico.
These creeps promised reversal of ALS and MS symptoms to patients using stem call therapy at a bargain price of up to one hundred and ten thousand dollars, within a mere 3-4 weeks post-therapy.
There is no such therapy; they both faked their degrees/credentials and they robbed people of all of their money. During the interview, "Doctor" Morales walked out and then came back in to rat out Stowe, who had claimed he had two PhD's, only had one, but never claimed he was a doctor.
After they were confronted by the 60 Minute reporter, Larry Stowe agreed to refund one of the victim's money, a deposit of forty-seven thousand dollars, which he never did. He has since closed his "practice" down and is being investigated by the FDA.
I urge all of you to thoroughly investigate any "alternative" treatment or magic cure, especially for a disease that can't be cured such as SLE, MS, etc.
Please watch the episode online if you have the opportunity. It's in the first 30 mins of tonight's episode.
Con artists have always thought that the sick are fair game. We are desperate at times; desperate to be better. I personally have never trusted any alternatve treatment due to this fact.
Thanks for posting about " 60 Minutes "
I happened to see it last night and I can tell you that these guys make me sick.
Taking adventage of very ill, desperate people, is really disgusting.
I hope he will burn in hell for that.

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).
