I love the sci-fi cuss words. We use frak around our house all the time. From the Star Trek New Frontiers world, there is also "grozzit!"
We also use Grok interchangeably with understand (from Robert A. Heinlein's "Strange in a Strange Land").
My mother-in-law used to say "dirty word, dirty word" in her cute southern accent to get the point across - hilarious!

I know what you mean about the spasms, Nonna. I've had them a lot lately. The neuro swore that there is nothing wrong with my muscles, and the rheumy uses the cop-out. She tells me that I will be just fine if I exercise and lose 20 lbs. I love to walk, and I would walk on the beach every day if it didn't cause me so much frakkin pain! I trekked all over San Francisco with my hubby last weekend, and paid for it by being in horrendous pain for two days.

How I wish that those docs could feel what we feel for a few days!
    I hope you're feeling better!
    Hugs,
    Marla

I remember as a kid my mom's substitute was sugar honey iced tea. I used to say it all the time thinking it was funny the reaction adults gave me but then I figured it out one day. It's still handy around kids now.

& Nonna - I'll come to your pity party. Mark me down for the tissues and the chips. I assume pj's are acceptable attire to this party? (((HUGS))))
As long as this body works, I am going to enjoy life to the fullest for each second of every moment that I can.

Oh my fellow sci fi buddy you're the best.

And from the Star Trek universe - may the universe's peace and tranquillity reign in your life
Some sci-fi purists frown upon combining words from different shows, but I think that's a bunch of frakking bantha pudu. Those sorry motherfrakkers are just a bunch of scruffy looking nerf-herders anyway. Hey, you really wanna have some sci-fi geek fun? Walk into your local gunshop and ask the guy behind the counter for a Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 Watt Range...

I always understand exactly what you are alluding to when you go sci-fi geeky on us!
Does that make me a super-geekess?

Big hugs for all the sci fi humor I seem to be over my funk.
Thanks guys, now all I need is better eye finger co-ordination. Which I don't think is going to get better, only worse.

    Nonna,
you are such a comfort to so many members of WHL...I'm kickin' back and joining you in your pitty party!!!!!!
    Whooo hooo!!!
PS. I couldn't agree more with Rob about the doctor mentioning your weight- that made me want to screaaaaam! Some docs seem so full of knowledge that their reasonability brain cells seem to have been recorded over
ughh you deserve a pitty party full of all things wonderful: wicked movies, the BEST junk food (weight's just a number! haha), and your fellow WHL members
    xoxox
