    Default Hand symptoms

I have redness and peeling on my hands and fingertips. I also have fingernails that curve down. My Rhuemy doesn't know why. Does anybody else have these symptoms?

    Could it be Raynaud's Syndrome?

Hey Lablover happy Thurs! This is something that many people are going through right now. Do you have Raynaud's Syndrome? Do your fingers ever turn white or blue when they get really cold and then back to red as they warm up? Do they burn as they warm up as well? I know Raynaud's can often times cause peeling and ulcers on the fingertips. I know the cold weather really messes with my fingers and toes!

I know that Rizbit is going through a bad time with ulcers on her fingers as well. Other will be along with much more information.

Yes I do have those symptoms when my hands get cold. The peeling and redness seems to happen all the time...but maybe they are related. Thanks for the info!

Check out Raynaud's Syndrome. I am posting a link below. Many people with Lupus have this.

How could your rheumy not know what could possibly be happening with your hands? I find this just so frustrating!! At any rate, did you check out the information on Raynaud's? If you think that it relates to you, take the information with you to see your rheumy (and educate him) because there are some treatments that may help. You can also type "Raynaud's" in our search and all posts relating to that subject will come up. You will find some great information about the syndrome and helpful suggestions on how to deal with it. I wish you the best.

    Peace and Blessings
