Question Hello! I am new to website but not new to Lupus

I have been dealing with a diagnosis of SLE since 1997 and have had no significant flares until this week. I have lots of questions about pulmonary complications associated with SLE and especially "broken rib syndrome". Has anyone out there had to deal with this?

Hello rhondac, and welcome to this forum. I am looking forward to getting to know you. Soon many other people will welcome you and hopefully you are made to feel at home. I know there have been a few people who have had pulmonary complications themselves, so they will be along shortly to help you out. Would you mind telling me what "broken rib syndrome" is? Last year (or should I say the year before now that it is 2011) I broke my rib through coughing too much. That was a painful 3 months for me, especially because I have asthma. When you have time try to pop into the chat feature so you can chat to people.

Hi Rhondac. Welcome to WHL! As Linda said many of our members are having pulmonary complications right now and I am sure they will be here to talk to you soon. There is a wealth of information in the different threads and the people in this site are wonderful! I can't count the times that they have helped me try to navigate this crazy roller coaster.

I look forward to getting to know you and please feel free to contact me if there is anything that I can do to be of assistance.
