Thumbs up Up date on phone calls made to Gyno & pyschiatrist

Well you all know i went to see the Gyno specialist, i have my scan on the 17th november and then it's waiting for Dr Vanner to call me back but my Doctor thinks it may be January, the quicker it comes the better and i've been this morning to my GP's and he's testing me on everything again kidney's, liver etc.
My husband phoned my psychiatrist yesterday and told him how all the symptoms are progressing, i had a phone call this morning from the pyschiatrist he's asked me what's going on, i told him about the amount of bloods i've had took plus x-rays and i want the results as i've joined a site for the lupus like you told me to and they're great people and all i want is my results getting off the Raynauds specialist as i'm not seeing him till January and i told him about what's been going on otherwise with the loss of blood and what's happening in the Gyno department.
He's told me to give him 2wks, as he's phoning my GP to discuss it and then he's phoning the hospital for my results and what i've definitely got and to try and also get my results pulled to him but he did mention they might not want to tell me what's completley going on because of my past history and what my depression as caused me to do.
I told him i'm not thinking of topping myself this time, i just want to know what's up with me besides what they've diagnosed me with below, so i know what's coming at me and what to face.
So i'm keeping my fingers crossed i won't have to wait to long and (thank you) all for your lovely support.

I agree, I hope that you get answers sooner than later. I am so glad to hear that you psychiatrist is becoming actively involved in ensuring that you have the answers that you need in order to alleviate some of your depression. And your doctor appears to be willing to continue to test you in order to give you a definite answer.
You have been through so much and I know that it can seem so overwhelming at times. I am glad that things are starting to move in the right direction

    Peace and Blessings

    hi peridot,

i have not had the pleasure of meeting you before now, but i wanted to respond to your post. Congratulations lady, you are doing a great job of letting the drs. know what you want and what you need for them to do. I can tell that you have had to overcome a lot of obstacles, but you are very obviously doing everything that you can to help with your health.

i look forward to getting to know you.

    Terri,
Phyllis is right - we're all proud of you for standing up for yourself, kid! Knowledge is power, and if you feel that you have power over what's going on with your body, you feel better about yourself. Keep doing what you're doing, and fight to get the right kind of treatment.
    Hugs,
    Marla

    Hello Marla,
I'm fighting and wanting to know what's up because like alot of us on here, the majority of doctor's today do like fobbing we off and my history of what i've gone through with stuff, as you know i won't stand for it no more and in 24yrs you learn alot about doctor's and when they're genuine or not but i know my specialist won't like it having my hubby beside me because i'm the aggressive one and he's the carm one but both react in different ways where answers will be needed and not pushed aside. I had my neurologist appointment come today and Avril can start the bloods also when i see her on the 14th of next month.

Anyway mate, never mind me hows your lovely life treating you?? it ah fare woman you make me jealous. lol

Love to you Marla and all the best with your hubby's exams. xxx

    Hi Terri,
Life is good. I'm baking pies today and will bake a turkey tomorrow. We'll live off of the left-overs for a week - turkey divan, turkey enchiladas, turkey soup, etc.
I'm getting into practice for all of the cooking that I'll be doing at my daughter's house when we all get together for Christmas.
My youngest daughter had surgery for her kidney stone today, so I've been checking up on her. She lives in another state.
    Hugs,
    Marla

Talk about timing! My mom called me crying last night because there's so much conflicting information that I'm receiving from my doctors. I had one doctor practically tell me I'm dying and then I find out he's called my rheum doc and suddenly is acting like I had a mild cold and could come in later that month. Seriously, he had literally left our appointment to call the doctor after my lung test results (she wasn't there) and later I'm suddenly no big deal. Two days later I'm at my Rheum doc who sits me down and tells me I probably don't have Lupus. This is the woman that six months earlier called me on my cell to tell me she had serious news. She believed I had Lupus and wanted me to start on Methotrexate immediately. I was also put on 20mg of Prednisone. In between time, I had blood clots, and other common illnesses with Lupus, all in a very short period of time and praise the Lord, my pcp turned out to be a total prince (I'd only seen him for colds over the years) who helped me much more than my Rheum.

It's Thanksgiving week so I'm holding back but once next week comes, I WANT SOME ANSWERS! What on earth did the rheum say to take me from shrinking lung disease to "oh, no big deal". And how can things change so suddenly when I had literally just had the test results put in my doctor's hands?

You gave me courage Terri. I truly believe in God's good timing - I believe this an excellent example! Thank you!
