Default Mom Has a Compression Fracture of the First Lumbar Bone in Her Back

She went to the Dr. today and he isn't going to do surgery to cement it unless her pain gets really bad. At the moment, it isn't too bad and looks like she won't have to have the surgery. Even though she fell in an elevator while going to a Drs. appointment last Friday. My brother and I have our hands full right now, and we are trying to get them into an old folks home by October 1.

I can truly understand your dilema. I hope that your Mother's pain does not accelerate. My brother and I also have our hands full with my Mom, who, just yesterday, fell and received a compression fracture to her right wrist (last year, she broke her left ankle and fractured her right ankle..so she couldn't walk for 6 weeks). We cannot convince her that she should not be living alone any longer...I wish you and your brother the best of luck!!

    Peace and blessings
