Kidney stones can occur in patients with Lupus or Lupus nephritis. It is not very likely that kidney stones would predispose a Lupus patient to have a flare up. Also, it has been found that kidney stones do not occur more often on Lupus patients than in patients who do not have the disease.
The best way to prevent stones is to dilute the urine as much as possible, and that usually means increasing fluid intake. Consult your doctor before doing so, especially if you have heart disease or kidney disease because these call for fluid restriction.
I hope that this has been helpful to you.
