    Default Bonjour!!!!

Hi, everyone. I'm Summer and it is such a pleasure to be a part of this forum. I'm a 31 year old nurse, wife of a teacher, and mother of 4 from Louisiana, living in Mississippi. I have lupus (SLE), diet-controlled diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, and a host of other things. I'm an LPN that graduated last weekend an Associate of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and was accepted in to an Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program literally the day before. I am excited but concerned because I do not want to be excluded because of disclosing my diagnosis means I will need an comprehensive exam. So... I will keep my mouth shut, like I always have, and take great care of myself so that I can show the world that I may have Lupus but it does NOT have ME!!!!

I look forward to chatting with everyone. I pray everyone is having a wonderful day!!!

I'm 23 years old, don't have a definite diagnosis yet but my Rheum thinks I have MCTD, consisting of RA, SLE and Sjogrens.
It's fantastic that you take good care of yourself, its what we all need to do!

    Hello Summer,

Welcome to our group! Sounds like you have a great career ahead of you. We have a few members here who work, and keep their SLE a closely guarded secret. I think that's a smart way to go. It's a need to know kind of thing, and most people do not need to know. I look forward to chatting more. Please make yourself at home here!

    Rob
