Default Not sure where to post this

I have a question...... Has anyone had any of their glands attacked. I know the Gray's and Hashimoto's attack the thyroid. But I've had other glands in my body attacked. I've tried to research to see if it's part of lupus or not. But I haven't found anything. It seems to mention everything but. I don't see my rheumy for several months yet; so I thought one of you might have an idea.

    Thanks for any helpful info,

    Nonna

what glads are bothering you? I have 2ndary sjorgen's which affects tear production, sweat and salava -
IMO and it is just my non medical opinion, I think anything can be affected by the inflamation, what's more if surrounding tissue is inflamed it can restrict the function of the gland even if it is not directly inflamed.

I believe planquinel has had a positive affect on my sjorgen's, but I am also using restasis so it might be only that -
much love to all my lupie friends -

I'm becoming convinced that there are so many difference names for the same thing. It seems that each area of the body, each special names it's own.
    Hashimotos - thyroid
    Sjorgrens - eyes and mouth
I think it was addisons for the adrenal gland.
    It's ridiculeous

I've decided that my body has the autoimmune disease. It attacks. I deal. I'm not going to try to put names to things anymore.

I am in the same situation, and at peace with it. I don't think the disease recognizes names or catagories, and anyway the treatment is targeted at the symptoms so what's in a name? A pre existing condition is all.
My file bounces around from Lupus, CREST, MCTD, sjorgens -

hope you can get your refill quickly -
much love to all my lupie friends -
