Default Question?? need someone to answer--about lymph nodes

My ANA test was 1:160, and am waiting to get in to see a specialist at the end of the month.

I have had a constant fever, and my lymph node on left side of neck just below jaw is getting more swollen and tender by the day. I was wanting to know if swollen & painful lymph nodes are common occurence with Lupus? :?:

    Any answers greatly appreciated.

I had an ANA test which my internist said was high and he is referring me to a Neurologist for further testing. He is concerned I have Lupus because of the testing and the symptoms.

I have had lymph node issues (too big and too many). I had a PET scan to find out if any of them were 'hot' and thankfully they were not. Anyway, this IS a problem of Lupus. If you are concerned about this, you should get it checked, but DON"T FREAK OUT!! I did a bit and it is just not worth it.

    Good Luck

    Hi blossom

I have lymph node on both my left & right side of my neck. When I used to get sick I did noticed that the lymph node got swollen & bigger but not painful at least that's what I experianced. I think about a year ago I did have surgery on one of my lymph node on my right side because it was bigger than the others & the doctor recommended to take it off to be safe & exam it. I still have little ones & I just have to exam them that it doesn't grow & keeping checking them with the doctor every 6 months.

The doctor did tell me it was because of my lupus & not to be concern only when they stay big & not go back to the normal size. Like Chocolate said don't freak out it is not worth it.

Default reply to those who answered me about lymph nodes

thanks for your replies, it eased my mind. The lymph nodes don't bother me that much, the constant fever is what is getting to me! I sweat constantly, and it doesn't help that fall hasn't arrived in the south, whew it's hot here. Anyone get night sweats? I have the last two nights, they are miserable. Like waking up in a swimming pool of sweat

    Default night sweats

I get those a LOT. My boyfriend and I get into tiffs because I need the A/C on but he freezes when it is. I'm hoping it'll get easier come winter, but I have a feeling we'll just be fighting about the heating unit then.
