    Cool rheumatology appointment today-outcome

    Hello
Heres my update and diagnsois from todays Rheumatology appointment

I have Rheumatoid arthritis as main issue alongsdie a overlap of Sle lupus with fibromylgia.
Im now beign taken off Methotrexate and onto full dose on Planequil.
as i wish to try for child i have to wait 6 months for that.

today i had large steriod inejction to calm all symtpoms down and can have more of these during process of next year.

my doctor is to give me
strong suncream along with e45 for my skin on face.

i go back to Rheumy in 6 months but i can call the nurse helpine beforehand if need to,they can give me steriod tablets to calm things down if find injection from wears off to quickly.

so feeling quite shokced i thought or rather hoped id only have either Rheumatoid arthrits or lupus not both plus fibromyliga, also i tested partially postvie for hughes sydnrome so they can re test for this when nearer to trying for child.
    so thats about it.

no damage to kidneys urine was normal.
    heart and lungs also normal.

i also ahve anxiety disorder but only mild so counselling has helepd this anyway.
    thanks for reading.

    Nelly,
At least you now have some answers and a game plan for dealing with it. My overlaps include RA and SLE, too.
I wish you luck with trying to have a little one. Just make sure to get the MTX out of your system first!
    Hugs,
    Marla

    hi melly,

sorry that the news was shocking....that is a tough diagnosis. I too have been diagnosed with all three of those, but it was over time, not all at once. I hope the palquenil helps you feel better, just give it time.

i have found a non-steroidal, non-narcotic pain patch that helps when my fms pressure points flare up....it is a lidocaine patch called Lidoerm. I cut a piece off of the patch and put it on when i start getting fms pains....i leave it on for 12 hours then take it off....it really helps me. You might want to get a script from you dr., and have it on hand to try if needed.

good luck,,,know that we are here and always ready to listen.
