Default I have a fever constantly, help

Is this common with Lupus? I am waiting for my apt with specialist at the end of the month, all I know is my ANA was positive at 160, is this high? and I have had a fever for over 3 months running around 99.4, I am normally 97.7. Please answer me if you know if this is common.

    Thanks, Blossom
I had an ANA test which my internist said was high and he is referring me to a Neurologist for further testing. He is concerned I have Lupus because of the testing and the symptoms.

Blossom, I'm pretty sure the ongoing low grade fever is pretty common. Someone explained it one time, although I don't remember for sure, but I think it has something to do with the compromised immune system. I have had a fever since May ranging from 99 -101. It's usually about what yours is though, around 99.5 and my normal temp is below 98. You definitely want your doctor to know this and my doctor said to call if I have a few days of 100-101. Since you don't have your appointment until the end of the month, you may want to call and let them know about your fever to see if they want to see you any earlier. Unfortunately I'm still confused about ANAs and what is high and what is not. Hopefully someone else will be along who knows. Take care.
