My recent brain fogs (that I can remember)

Getting out of the shower going to towel dry my hair and wondering why it feels odd (forgot to rinse the conditioner out)
Sat in a meeting and couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the system I support
Have asked told the children many a time to put the cup in the fridge or the washing in the dishwasher
Constantly lose my keys (have now learned to put them in one place all the time)
Almost phoned the police to report my car stolen from a car park because I'd forgotten where I parked it
And this morning (most embarassing) forgot to wake my 15 year old daughter for school before I left for work. I remembered half way to work quickly followed by much swearing and frantic dialling of phones (much to the amusement of my lift share who was driving)

I have learned that if I am cooking something and have to leave the kitchen for ANY REASON AT ALL, I have to take a timer with me so that when it dings I remember to go back in the kitchen....sometimes I will take two, because I'll hear the first one ding and think "oh, I'll just finish this and THEN go in..." - but of course 2 seconds after it dings I have already forgotten again.....

Lucky I haven't started any fires, LOL....

You know you have brainfog when you search the house for your keys so you can go out and warm up your truck before driving somewhere on a cold day, only to learn that the keys are already in the ignition, it's already running, and it's already warm.

I have done that so many times and absent mindedly locked the doors that the locksmith made a second key and watched me lace it in my shoe. Last time I locked the keys in the car I left the engine running for two hours while I watched a softball game

You know you have "brain fog" when you can't find your eyeglasses and all the time they were there right on top of your head.

You know you have brain fog when...

When you make a full pot of coffee, only to forget to put the coffee pot on the burner.

You know you have brain fog when you throw away the clean diaper and try and put the wet one back on your 4month old!
