    Smile It's been a while.. But I've returned, and have some updates!

    The last time I was on here was about a month ago now, back when I was in horrid shape. It really just went rapidly downhill since the last time I posted. A few days after I made my last post I ended up in the ER 'cause I just couldn't deal with my symptoms anymore; I was also starting to feel quite fluish on top of it all. Apparently, I got the Swine (I really did not see that one coming considering I've been very skeptical about that whole thing). So I was kept in the hospital to be treated and to prevent me from running around infecting the general public.

    After a few days of being in the hospital I was starting to feel a lot worse. I brought up my new (and worsened) symptoms with the doctor and was soon diagnosed with pneumonia. I'll spare the details, but basically the last month was spent in the hospital trying to fight off all these infections. It was horrible, and I can't recall a time I've felt sicker. I'm still not 100% myself, but I'm glad to be out of the hospital (they creep me out).

    In other news, I finally got in with that new rheumy. She was actually really nice, and even though I went through hell just trying to get an appointment with her, I'm probably going to keep her as my rheumy. She also wants me to be tested for firbomyalgia, so I've got an appointment with another specialist in a few weeks. There's kind of a funny story with that one. The doctor I'm being sent to that kind of specialises in fibromyalgia is a doctor I used to see a few years ago, and the first one who suspected lupus. I got a laugh out of it.

    There is one more little tid bit of medical news. In a recent appointment with my primary doctor, he said that he also suspects adrenal insufficiency, or Addison's disease. At this time I don't know too much about it, but when we were talking about the symptoms a lot of them did add up, and apparently it would also explain my chronic insomnia and why nothing has helped me with it. So I have an appointment in three weeks to be tested for that. It sounds lame, but I'm almost hoping I do have it if the treatments will help me.

    That's about everything that's happened recently. I missed being able to come on here, and hearing about how you've all been doing. Hopefully everyone's been well. <3 =]

    Hi Jerzi,

    Good to see you back. I'd do about anything to have a decent Rheumotologist at this point. I'm glad you found a good one. I'm sorry that they suspect Addison's. President Kennedy had Addison's. From what I know, oral Prednisolone is the preferred treatment. Anyway, I remember you from awhile back, just thought I'd say hello.

    He Jerzi;
    Welcome back, it is so good to hear from you again. I am sorry to hear that you've been dealing with so much, had to be hospitalized, and now may have another condition to deal with!
    I'm glad that you finally got to see your rheumy and that you think she is worth keeping. Also, that your referral will take you back to a doctor who suspected Lupus long ago.
    Hopefully, between the two of them, you will now get treatment that will help you manage your symptoms!

    I wish you the very best!
    Peace and Blessings

    Jerzi -

    I was wondering about you. I am sorry to hear about how unwell you have been feeling. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I have heard of Addison's but don't know much about it, but I don't think it's lame for you to want to find a way to get some relief and some answers. Hang in there, you are finding your way to your goal baby step by baby step.

    I missed all of your insight, advice and comments. It sucks being separated from the internet for weeks at a time. xD
