How do you tell the difference between a malar rash and heat rash?

    hi kirsten,

thank you for starting this thread....such a very good question. One difference that first comes to my mind is that my malar rash always has the same form....with no variation. I do not know if the same is for heat rash.

Interesting. Is there a certain amount of time or intensity usually associated with it? I'm asking because I get red across my cheeks and nose from the sun, but I live in Phoenix, AZ where it's currently an average of 105. So I don't want to be mistaken.

To be reallly honest I dont know because I dont get either, I wear sunscreen year round all over my body, so I rarely get skin issues. Sorry hon I wish I had more info.
