Default Numb arm/ shoulder shud I be worried....

Rite then I am a little only a little though worried..
I have been more sore for weeks now but the last few days have been getting worse now my right arm and shoulder are a little numb...

Best to describe it is, when u just had pins and needles as soon as they have faded u know that feeling straight after, slightly sore and numb..

I can still move it of course altho it's hard work and feels like I have a mega muscle pain, I can still type but it feels really heavy keeping the arm in place..

anyway is this bad or have I just slept on it funny a few nites?

    thanks in advance everyone..

    TJ

    hi tj

I recommend you call your rheumy. I am going to mine today, because I can tell that i am spiraling down. In the past, i waited and then before i knew it, i was totally non-functional. I am going to try this time going in to her before things get this bad. We will tweek my meds, maybe try something new. Anyway, I have found that waiting does not work. What meds are you on?

My rheumy does not have any openings today, so I am going to see her physician's assistant. I feel very comfortable seeing her. She will consult with the dr. and i will get help today and not have to wait for a dr. appointment.

good luck.....call your dr.....yes, I get the numb pins and needles in various parts of my body. right now, it is my left shoulder, chest, back, hip, that is giving me fits.

    thanks gina,

since we are exploring a different treatment option, my daughters are going with me so that they can help me sort through the information. I really appreciate them taking time from their day to help me. We all know that i can't be trusted to remember what the dr. says.....i can't even remember what time my appt. is. ha ha ha

Sorry you have to suffer with shoulder and arm pain. I have shoulder and arm pain too and the type of pain I have sounds similiar to yours. It is a pain in the A__ isn't it? Take care and the advice given to you to see your rheumy, sounds like good advice.
