does anyone have any exercise programs to trade with me?
I currently work out 3 times a week and some bag punching in between!
I have found that, with the aches-pains-fatigue of lupus, an exercise routine that does not involve jarring or pounding. I begin my day with yoga stretches (this helps me with breathing, strength, and mental centering). I then move to Pilates which is excellent for core strength, muscle tone and endurance. When the weather permits, I swim laps. So far, swimming laps has been the most effective because it is aerobic without putting strain, pressure or jarring on my joints.
If you are unable to swim...do try some of the Pilates workouts. They are great for basic full body strengthening, toning and core development.
I hope that I have been helpful!!
Keep working out...it is one of the best things that we can do for this disease! I know that it is painful and, therefore, hard to get motivated. But, regular exercise can lessen the complications of our disease!!
Best Of Luck
