    Joann..

    And how are you...

Fish oil...for its anti-inflammatory properties...along with bright color foods, such as salmon, raspberries, yellow red pepper, spinach...keep it bright.

Over all, when you are choosing anti-inflammatory foods to help reduce your inflammation and pain, choose fresh foods instead of heavily processed foods like deep fried foods, baked goods...cookies and candy, sugar. My rule, nothing in a colorful wrapper.

I dose with 2400mg per day.

Also it is great for our heart and arteries, as IT wreaks havoc on that too by increasing our cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Fish oils can help lower them....

Do you know your numbers..HDL, LDL and Tri's? If not, do, at your next annual physical. Usually labs done during a physical are part of the co-pay and not a separate bill. If done as a separate may cost under your co-insurance.

    Be well,
    Hugs,

WALMART has a good, cheap brand of fish oil capsules. It's called Omega HMJ, lemon flavored and no unpleasant after-taste -period, purified of any possible contaminants. I got a box of 45 for about $5.65 or so, and the directions read one a day as they are highly concentrated. I suppose one can take more if they wish.

I find the health food stores tend to be high on just about everything, so I get what I have to there and the rest somewhere else.

Oh, I forgot, brand. I use Nature Made. I purchase them from drugstore.com.

I think they were $15.00 for 180 count of the 1200 mg. Ninety days worth...

They also have free shipping if you spend $25.00...they usually have all kinds of deals, coupons going on.

I join Nature Made website to log in my bottle number for additional savings on the next bottle...

And don't be shocked by the torpedo sized gel pills, huge like a long stretched grape...

    Oluwa,

Do the Nature Made capsules cause any fishy aftertaste? If they don't, they also sound like a pretty good buy.

No after taste, but I have been known to burp up a fish. Today, no fish....or is it because of no burps..hummm. Which came first, the fish that made me burp or the burp that tasted like fish?
