    Default Dry Mouth

    Hello all,

I've recently been sporting a very dry mouth. It is more like my tongue is dry. I can feel saliva under my tongue, but my tongue gets stuck on the roof of my mouth. I know that Sjogren's is common with those with lupus. I've been tested for it several times over the years (I have had dry eyes) But this is the first time I've been so thirsty/dry. I drink a lot already. In my job I talk all day long, so walking around with a bottle of water is difficult at times. Plus in that I work with kids, I can't have candy or anything in my mouth.

I emailed my doctor voicing my concerns. But until I hear back, anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks very much. I hope everyone is having a low pain day!

No lemon water...no lemon or eucalyptus cough drops...humm...

Try an artificial saliva spray...spritz...spritz. It lubes...

I have Sjogrens' and a little spritz does it. It's like an oil, with no taste. Spray on the back on the tongue..

    Be well,
    Oluwa

I use mouth sprays too like Oluwa. Keep a little one in my pocket. I also use those listerine packets or some flat similar thing. They get my mouth watering, disolves quick. Just don't keep them in your pocket like dummy me, you'll have a clump packet  .
