    Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with SLE in 1986(I was 16). It only took them a year to diagnose me. I had arthritis in all of my joints. In 1989 I found out the Lupus was in my kidneys. We tried chemo to try and save them, but it did not work for me. November of 1993 I lost my kidneys. The Lupus went into remission and has been there ever since. I had to wait 6 months before I could get my first kidney transplant. I also did end up getting a quad. bypass due to the Lupus and the steroids(that is what I was told). Feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
