    Default positive ANA and anti-DNA

Hi. I'm confused and need help PLEASE!
I've been sick since the age of 22. I'm 29 now living on Social Security Disability. I have had a positive ANA for several years and recently saw a Rheumatologist who did additional tests for Lupus. He called today and said my anti-DNA is slightly elevated. He said to come back in 6 months to do the tests again. Is this normal? I know Lupus is hard to diagnose but if these tests are positive, doesn't that mean I have Lupus?!
I have most of the symptoms - disabling fatigue, fibromyalgia, hair loss, freezing, numb fingers and toes, brain fog, depression. (I also have hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue which can cause some of these symptoms.)
    I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!

You might want to call and ask him if he has made a diagnosis (and somehow neglected to tell you). Also, ask him to start you on treatment for your symptoms while waiting to do your next round of tests. Even if there has been no definite diagnosis, you still can be treated for your symptoms.

    I wish you the best!
