    Default Sore Throat?

Hi! I'm just wondering if any of you get a sore throat as a symptom of lupus? I've had the sore throat for a week or so now. It's just on one side. The tonsil on that side is swollen and bumpy with white stuff between the bumps. :? Is this just another lupus thing I have to learn to live with or is this a sign of something wrong happening? I called my doc office today. She wasn't in, but spoke to the nurse who said she didn't think it was Lupus related. Doc is supposed to call me back. What do you all think?

    Hi Momx4Boys!

I suffer from chronic Pharyngitis (sore throat) due to Sjogren's Syndrome.

It sounds like you may have pus on your tonsils. If so, you will probably need an antibiotic. You may have Strep. Throat or Tonsillitis.

Sleeping with one's mouth open at night can also cause a sore throat.

    I hope that this helps!

    Keep well!
