    Default test results

    Hi all,

I was told I have a positive ANA (1:320) and I've recently received the rest of the lab work. My Histone was positive (2.0 out of a 0.0-0.9 range). Can this be Lupus or is Histone related to other diseases as well?

    Thank you for your help!

unfortunately it is impossible to tell if someone has lupus ...
    just from a blood test.

that is why we need to go and see specialists like a rheumatologist.
When you're stressed, You eat Ice cream, Cake, Chocolate & Sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS.

Like steve said, bloodwork alone does not make a diagnosis. Bloodwork + symptoms must all be taken into consideration.

*If* you have symptoms consistent with Lupus and anti histones the first thought would be drug induced lupus as they're positive in %95 of people with DILE. The rheum will probably want to go through ALL your recent medications and discontinue any known offenders to see if symptoms go away before proceeding further.

    Thank you for your help!

I'm not currently taking and medications on the list for DILE. Symptoms are fevers, swollen lymph nodes, chest pain, fatigue, headaches, and rash.
