Default I am newly diagnosed with Lupus SLE and have never been able

to wear necklaces, bracelets, or rings... it too me a long time to get used to my wedding rings. Is this from the lupus? I've never understood why I am this way.

Some people are just allergic to different metals... I know that lots of people develop a lot of allergies with Lupus, but I don't know if it's always because of the lupus or not...

    Hope that helps some

I agree with Solesinger. The closest thing that I've heard about allergies to metals and lupus is a study claimimg that insertion of amalgam fillings or nickel dental materials causes a suppression of the number of T-lymphocytes (16), and impairs the T-4/T-8 ratio. Low T4/T8 ratio has been found to be a
factor in lupus, anemia, MS, eczema, inflammatory bowel disease, and
    glomerulonephritis.
We don't know if this is absolute, but some say that there is a correlation!

    Peace and Blessings
