Default A new experience has me wondering.

Over the past few days, I have experienced Bell's Palsey. This has stroke like symptoms but is not a stroke. The ER doctor said that the nerve that controls facial muscles becomes inflamed. Had anyone had this happen to them? They think it's viral. I'm back on pred. Looking for thoughts and input.

When you're stressed, You eat Ice cream, Cake, Chocolate & Sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS.

Sometimes I can't lift my eyebrows or smile and my doc said the same thing, that the nerve is inflamed. But Nonna it is not full blown Bells Palsy, because if you have that, your face can be paralized for months. I had a co-worker who had it, it lasted 8 months, she couldn't even open her mouth wide enough to eat normally, she looked like she had a stroke.
I hope the pred helps you.

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).
