Default Advice for friend that is being stalked.

I saw an old friend today who is being stalked by someone. She has let this person know that she is not interested in him romantically or personally. He is still being persistent. She was asking me for advice on how to handle this situation. I was caught offguard and didn't know what to tell her. What are your thoughts on this?

take out a restraining order .....
this lets the person know you are serious.
yes they can easily break it, but then there is consiquences.
When you're stressed, You eat Ice cream, Cake, Chocolate & Sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS.

Steve has the right advice. She also needs to let her work know not to admit this person. My friend let our reception know and she had to refuse him several times. My friend ended up having to leave town and start over elsewhere. I hope things aren't that bad for your friend.

My friend works in a small retail store that is like a fish bowl. I suppose if she can get to the door fast enough, she can lock it and call the police if necessary. I never thought about a restraining order. I guess it hasn't gotten to that point yet. But again, what is that point?
