Default Why so few Effective Drugs to Treat Lupus?

Why are there so few effective drugs to treat lupus? It seems like much more progress is being made in other diseases. Is it lack of money? Lack of interest in the illness, or what? I have wondered about this for some time and would like to know if there is an answer/s to this question?

unfortunately, I think it is lack of understanding ......
and next to nobody is really trying to understand it enough.

    money is the key .....
money allows people to do the studies.
    studying opens opportunities.

then more money is needed to look into these opportunities.
ther ehas been some really promising discoveries .....
but they ar eon hold, awaiting more funds so they can be taken to the next step in research.
