    Cool Progress with my weight

I just thought I'd let everyone know what I'm about right now.
First I'm sitting by the front window enjoying the ocean breeze. The salt air smells great. My Mother is calmer now and Daddy suggested that I go home from Thanksgiving. I can't tell you all the joy that is in my heart. I loved my parents and being here is very good for my health, especially my weight - I have lost 34 pounds since January. I'm weighing in at 201; 2 more pounds and I've broken the 200 pound barrier.

    Woooooo whhhhoooo!!!!!!!!

My stress levels are going down, the new docs of course are re-evaluating me. My old meds seem to have stopped working. My neuro symptoms are more pronounced. My rheumy is testing for shrogens and raynaurds, she thinks I might not have SLE, but is doing in depth testing that my old rheumy didn't do.

I'm calmer now, but it still have stressful days. I'm learning how to handle my Mom better. My time at the pool is a big help.

I'll let you know the test results when I get them next month. I go for my final test on Tuesday; it's a Dat-scan. Should be interesting, never had one of them before.

    Hugs and Good Thoughts

I am happy to hear that you are calmer, that you are happy, and that your stress levels have reduced significantly. I am also glad to hear that your doctors are running thorough tests in order to find appropriate treatment for you. Warm hugs of congratulations!!

Congrats on the weight loss Nonna! Slow and steady wins the race! I'm happy to hear that you're making time for yourself. Exercise is great for de-stressing (and weight loss, too!).

Pleased that you're able to "go home" for Thanksgiving. That will be a welcomed respite for you.

So happy that your new docs are doing further studies. I have Sjogren's and Raynaud's, in addition to SLE. Whoopie! You know that AI disorders travel in "packs," correct? Yep, they aren't known to be loners.

Anyway, thanks for the update. Keep us posted on your test results.

by your first line ..... i knew you were in a better place (within), than you have been for a while.

i am glad to hear that your life is finding its balance.

Australians do not celebrate thanksgiving ...... but we do believe in the concept.
enjoy it where ever you are !!!!!!

i am very happy to read the many other happy messages within your post.
i have been thinking of you often ...... hoping you can once again smile (and truly mean it)

I too have Sjogren's and Raynaud's, in addition to SLE. unfortunately it appears to be a consistent mix.

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).
