new member intro: Hi, I'm Barb R.
Hi, I'm Barb R. I just found out today that I have lupus today, and have been reading anything and everything about it. Needless to say, this was a long, stressful day. When I got the diagnosis today, in a sense, it was a relief. I say that it was a relief because I felt that all of my organs have been deteriorating at a fast rate, and the helplessness of not knowing what was going on was a bad feeling. This is the first Lupus website I came across during my research today, and I hope to gain more knowledge and a better understanding of how lupus effects ones life. I also hope I can provide open and enlightening thoughts and ideas , and understanding and hope to others like me.
There are many people here with months, years and decades of dealing with this disease. It is a wonderful place to talk, learn, vent, cry, laugh and be with people that understand. A great place to read is www.lupus.org. They have wonderful information there. The mayo clinic's lupus sections is fabulous also.
please feel free to ask any questions that you have. The fabulous family members here will be glad to offer assistance
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
