Default so what are you- a doctor?

Trying to explain photosensitivity as it applies to lupus to a coworker:

coworker: "well the uv lights can't possibly cause you problems with your lupus"
me: "yeah, well unfortunately it does"
    coworker: "that's just not possible"
    me: "why not?"
    coworker: "because it just isn't"
me: "where are you getting your information to prove that it isn't?"
coworker: "well, well, it just doesn't make sense!"
me: "when did Lupus EVER make sense? or this conversation for that matter?"

and these people work with disabilities. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
"I'm going to get healthy or die trying"

Boy, I hate to say it, but you work with a bunch of idiots.
BTW, I am afraid, very afraid, that one day, those people may take care of my needs.

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).
