    Hello Littlelupusgirl2;
    Welcome to WHL. You are not alone, many of us have lived with denial because we did not want to be saddled with a chronic disease. However, our best defense is knowledge, medication, and lifestyle changes. Instead of hating where we are, it is helpful that we become our own health advocates and that we do all that is necessary to manage our disease and regain some form of normalcy - or, at the least, our "new normal".
    We are here to help you in any way that we can and to make sure that you know that you are not alone.

    Peace and Blessings

    Saysusie hit the nail on the head: "Instead of hating where we are, it is helpful that we become our own health advocates and that we do all that is necessary to manage our disease and regain some form of normalcy - or, at the least, our "new normal"."

    The sooner you "give in," the faster you'll be able to move forward. Giving in and giving up are totally different. Your life is not the same as it was before 2008. You have to accept that. Denial isn't going to help, but managing your disease is possible.
