    Default hello Im new

I don't know if I have lupus but my GP thinks that I do. Last year I had terrible joint pains and felt totally exhausted all the time. After tests I was diagnosed with prosperous and severe vit d deficiency. After massive dose of vit d I felt better for about 6weeks but then the joint pain and fatigue returned. My doc ordered a raft of blood tests meanwhile I developed a virus (wheeze bad cough no voice) which lasted for about 6 weeks. At the ess nd of this I got a rash on my right thigh which has now spread to my face and scalp. I have been told that I now have stage 3 kidney failure.
The blood tests show non specific anca positivity, ena ro positivity, ana positivity and slightly raised dsdna titre at 12 . I have no idea what this means
Vasculitis specialist thinks it's not vasculitis but could be sjogrens (I have dry eyes andmouth) he says I need to see a rheumy. Dermatologist doesn't know what the rash is (it hadn't spread from my thigh when I sawhim)he thinks perhaps sacroidosis or lymphoma or cutaneous metastes he has done a skin biopsy I'm still waiting for the results. I am seeing a rheumy soon and I don't know what go ask. Please help me if you can

    Hi Maisie,

    Welcome to WHL.
Like you already said yourself, you have to be seen by a Rheumy.
Wow, I have never heard of a rash, that spreads from you thigh, all the way to your face. You poor thing.
What reason did your doctor give you, for the stage 3 kidney failure?
Make an appointment at the Rheumatologist asap., because it usually takes months, before you get an appointment.

    Debbie
I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).

    Default thanks Debbie

My doctor says that he thinks the kidney failure is connected to the rash and the rash is connected to lupus.

I have an appointment to see a Nephrologist next week and he had fast tracked me to see a rheumatologist the following week. I am quite anxious to hear the results of the skin biopsy
