This is a great article summarizing the latest research on Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and the benefits it has for people with lupus.

it is very, very interesting reading. I have a collection on my computer that I refer to regularly, this article is now included in that collection. I noticed they talked about the dosage "6.5 mg/kg" it was different to what we have talked about before on WHL. there was no referral to height, only the weight component. the dosage they talk about is almost twice what I am currently on. I take 2 tablets at 200mg per day. according to there formula, I could take 3 1/2 tablets. or 777mg.
When you're stressed, You eat Ice cream, Cake, Chocolate & Sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS.
I was very interested in the part where they talked about maybe one day developing a version of Plaquenil that does not cause retinal toxicity. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could get rid of the one major risk the drug has?
Thank you for the article. I sent the site to a friend of mine who has lupus.
Thank you for sharing this with us, it's very helpful.
