    Smile New Comer

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with SLE in 2010. This was after years of suffering with many of the symptoms associated this this condition. As recent as 2012 the rhematologist advised me that he is diagnosed me as having MCTD. I know I have a lot of questions. But one question I have is can SLE cause missed menestration? I may have a menstral once a year or none at all. Can anyone give insight on this? Thank you

SLE didn't impact my cycles at all. At this point, the changes in my cycles is due to peri-menopause (I'm in my late 40's). Your physician can check your hormone levels. It's a simple blood test and depending on the level of FSH detected, your doctor will know if you are in peri-menopause, full blown menopause or not even close.

    Good luck!
