Thumbs up 80 years old at 17

I was just recently diagnosed with discoid lupus, which, unfortunately enough for me, I don't think is the actual answer. The more I read on the forums, the more I realize certain symptoms I'd never really noticed in myself before. It's gotten to the point where I find it difficult to write during my lectures, to even sit at my job as a receptionist. Every move I make hurts. And it's really starting to bog me down.

Anyway, my name is Emily and I'm trying to keep my head up. Figured the best way to do that was to reach out to people who truly understand, people who've been through what I'm going through.

When you're stressed, You eat Ice cream, Cake, Chocolate & Sweets. Why? Because stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS.

Hi Emily, hang in there kid. It gets better. It takes a while to find the right combination of things that will help, but in the meantime do as much research as you can on healthy lifestyles and start making some positive changes in your life. Every little thing you do adds up to who you are and how you feel.

    Hugs,
    Natalie

Hi emfrgo, and welcome to WHL! Hopefully, your docs can help you get the lupus under control, so you feel better.

I like that "sig" steve. We'll have to call ourselves the HA of WHL maybe... lol

I already feel like I've found a home here. It really does mean so much that all of you replied. I'm trying to hang in there! Hoping to quit smoking soon. I know that's the main root of all my body pains.

It's so different here. Most of the time people think I'm exaggerating or being dramatic. I'm happy I reached out. Thank you so so much.
