Default Newbie - just to say Hi

Hello, new Diagnosis (several months only) Cutaneous Lupus. Had a tough year getting sicker week by week. Ended up in Hospital 10 days, home since mid Sept. Now tapering Prednisone & have increased Imuran. Very tired but improving every few days or so with more usable hours in each day. Very photosensitive, seems to have been set off by Sulpha in Medications Lichen Planus initially then severe reaction to Plaquenil. 53 Yr old female.
Thank you for your time looking fwd to reading other posts & learning from the more experienced in this jigsaw of a condition. KLupus

First let me welcome you to the WHL family. I am sorry that you have to be here but I am glad you found us.

I am glad you are starting to feel better. Make sure to cover yourself in good sunscreen not only when outside, but also when in fluorescent lighting. Both can cause problems.

Please make yourself at home and I look forward to getting to know you

Hi klupus, and welcome to WHL. Be sure and browse around, paying particular attention to the "stickies" in each area. Hope you continue to feel better. Photosensitivity has become a big issue for me over the last few years, causing more and stronger reactions in me. Sun screen, hats and long sleeves year round now...
