    Default Biopsy

Hi everyone!!! Hope all is well and wishing you all happy holidays! So, on Monday Dylan will have his third renal biopsy. This one will tell us ALOT!!! He has had good labs for the past 6 months with little to no activity from his SLE. The biopsy, if all is well, will tell us if he will be continuing his mega dose of solumedral and Soliris(for his TMA). Nervous but excited about this. Glad that he is feeling well enough to stop them, but not sure what to expect afterwards. I'll keep you guys posted as to the results. Wish us luck!!!

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).

    Leah,
Good luck to Dylan. He's dealt with a lot so far.
Hopefully, he'll be able to keep it under control with a minimum of meds.
    Hugs,
    Marla

Well, after an extremely long day, we are finally home! Biopsy went good. No issues! His labs were good before hand. WC 5.1, creatinine 1.72, platelets 212, hematocrit and hemoglobin were both good so no epo, sodium, potassium were both good as well. Now, just waiting for the BIG results. I looked back at his notes from his last biopsy, which was a year ago, and Dylan had went from stage 4 Lupus to a 2. He also has a-typical HUS and am curious to see how that is. His nephrologist told us at the end of the day when she came to check on him that the vice president of a drug company asked about Dylan. This is an infusion that he get for his HUS.

Anyway, I should get results back later this week and I'll let you guys know what they were. Thanks for the support!!!
