    Unhappy my mom.

Hey guys, I've been on this site for a while, I just don't post very often.

I guess I just wanted to express my thoughts and feelings.

About 6 years my mom was diagnosed with lupus, and when they caught it, it was really advanced. A few days ago, my sister was doing work experience at a hospital, whereby a doctor told her that our mom would die. Of course I know that is going to happen, and most likely a lot sooner that most of my friends. But it just really saddens me to know my mom might not be around for much longer. She may potentially never see me get married, or meet her grandchildren. My dad isn't around anymore, and my only real close family is my mom and sister.

I don't really know why I'm writing this, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

If you read this, thank you.

i remember when you first joined about a year ago.
unfortunatelly some people do not understand compasion.....
for a doctor to talk like that is irresponsible.

i hope mum has quite a few more happy times with you.
make your time count..... enjoy her.
and may medical miracles help her live a peaceful life.

Steve is absolutely right. So don't worry about what might be and enjoy what is. None of us can predict the future. Take life one day at a time and celebrate each and every one of them.

Sometimes I DETEST the docs we have to deal with. That doctor was an idiot! Many people with Lupus live to ripe old ages just like everyone else in the world. As long as they take their meds and do the things they should (and not do what they shouldn't) most Lupus patients can live long, productive lives and see everything that all other healthy people get to see.

Don't let that idiot get to you. Sadly you will find that there are way too many of them and they are not worth your time nor thoughts!
