Default My profound thought for the day

Having lupus is like having a battery that won't hold a charge. Please note that I've been sick most of the weekend so maybe it really isn't profound...

Very good analogy!!! I like this one better than the "Spoon Theory" that seems to be so popular. I hope you feel better!!!

Funny I was thinking something very similar the other day.At work we have this test instrument that takes a special battery.
I had put it on the charger overnight to no avail-wouldn't hold a charge.

As I ordered a new battery I thought if only it were that easy to fix me.

Nicki-I agree I prefer ruziska's analogy to the spoon theory.

    Rita,
I agree! This is a good analogy to use with husbands - something that they can relate to.
