New to WeHaveLupus
Hello everyone I am new to this site just got diagnosed a couple of weeks ago and I was just trying to find out if there was anyone out there with the same symptoms as me. I have been having tingling that shoots through my whole body. I was wondering if this is a real symptom of lupus.
yes this symptom is quite common.
a few people here call them zingers.
please read a few of the older posts,
they are our personal experiences with lupus.
once you understand a little more,
it is not as scary as it seams.
please feel free to ask questions.
hi martha yes some of us have the same symptoms i personally call it my electric shock treatment. it is a good idea to look through our older posts so you can understand that there are people here who understand how you feel welcome to the whl family. we are your support system now hugs kim
I used to tell people that I felt like a robot that was short circuiting! Yes, we understand and many of us have them as well
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Sorry I haven't been on sooner, but I wanted to thank you for your replies that makes me feel better knowing that this is from the lupus. I think that it is the worse feeling I have ever felt in my body.
Welcome to WHL Martha,
I get the same sort of pain. Peripheral Neuropathy is what causes my "shock treatments". They can be mild, or they can be cringe inducing. I've had pretty good luck with a med called Neurontin. It does a fair job of controlling the intensity and frequency of the pain.
This is a pretty common symptom with certain autoimmune disorders, including Lupus.
Hang in there,

Welcome to WHL. Count me in as another one with that tingling sensation.
