    Default Returning to Forum

    Hi All,

The last time I posted here was in December of 2006. It has been a while so I am re-introducing myself.

I am a 45 y.o. male who lives near San Jose, California. I was diagnosed with Lupus just shy of my 40th birthday after suddenly becoming very ill. I was then hospitalized after a botched kidney biopsy. After recovering from the biopsy and chemo I have been living a pretty normal life with just occasional aches and pains. The lupus is in remission. I am currently on Cellcept and Plaquenil.

I decided to come back to the forum because I need a place to talk to others about their experiences. My kidney doctor is awesome but my PCP and Rheumatologist aren't very helpful. I have had some medical issues lately and it would be nice to chat with others about their experiences with this disease.

    Thanks!
    Rob

    Hi Rob,
As I mentioned on your other thread, I live in the Monterey area, so I'm in the same time zone.
Welcome back! I hope that we are able to answer some questions for you.
I've also had problems finding a decent Rheumy and PCP in this area. Have you tried UCSF or Stanford?
If you can get a referral, I think there are some good ones there.
    Hugs,
    Marla

    Welcome back, Rob!

I'm also a close neighbor of yours. In fact, Marla and I met when we attended a Sjogren's conference in SF a couple years ago (maybe it was three? Time flies!)

Glad that you're not having too many health issues, but bad doctors seem to be systemic.
