Red face Rheumy appt. next week!!!!

So, I went to another appt. with my PCP and had more complaints. The three rheumy's in town here all have 3+ month waiting lists.. So he referred me to one in Lubbock, which is about 2 hours from here. They called yesterday, I have an appt. next Thursday!! I am SO excited! (That sound weird.. And as much as I love my PCP, I'm ready to see someone who can explain the scleroderma to me better.

And I'm glad I'll be seeing him in less than a week... I've got the feeling of a flare coming on.. Boyfriend and I just moved into our new apartment last night and I'm miserable, so much pain!!

I hope that your appointment with your rheumatologist is a productive one. Make sure that you keep a journal of all of your symptoms, when you feel that they worsen and/or lessen, all of your medications, and all of the questions that you'd like to ask.
I hope your rheumy is an attentive one who is truly concerned with helping you to feel better. Some of us have encountered rheumatologists who were so uncaring and dismissive. Remember, you have a right to have your questions answered, you have a right to be treated, and you have a right to be respected.
    Good Luck
