I had a great evening out last night! The Spouses' Club had our annual Wine & Beer Tasting/Auction. We had a ballroom full of vineyards, Breweries and local restaurants giving samples and over 100 items for people to bid on. We had over 160 people who bought tickets and we sold a few at the door. I helped at the check-in table, but mostly, Jeff, Conner and I had fun. Conner was admired and loved on by some high-ranking officers. The CO of the school (who is also a former astronaut) was crazy about him, and the CO of the military base got down to pet him and let Conner lick his face. LOL- My dog has licked the faces of high-ranking officers!
Jeff and I were celebrating last night. It was the 37th anniversary of the night that we were engaged. It's always a good excuse to celebrate!
Here's a pic of Conner and I at the event.
You and Conner look great in the pic! Happy anniversary to you and your hubby!
it is nice to let your hair down.
was conner needed to help steady you home afterwards?
or did you stop short of toooooo many.
Great picture...I am glad to hear that you had a great night and that Connor can be a bonafide name dropper (lol).
Peace and Blessings
Look For The Good and Praise It!
Love the picture! You look beautiful
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Steve - both Jeff and I stopped short and didn't drink too much this year. Last year, we stayed the night at Herrmann Hall, so we drank wayy too much and felt miserable the next morning. This time, we both ate more and we refused to try the full line of ports - that's what got us in trouble last time.
The good news is that we had 212 guests at the event and we made $9,300 from the silent auction for military scholarships and charities.
(Whoo-Hoo I'm now an emperor of the universe!)
