    Question lupus study medication?

    Hi, I've just been contacted by someone from Eli Lily (?) whose sponsoring the study. They were referred by my rheumatologist (with my consent though) The study involves an injection in your belly every two weeks for a year. She said its been shown to reduce symptoms of lupus, although I did not asked how this conclussion was made. She also said I would continue to use my meds during this time.

    Have any of you participated in a study, if so what are your reactions to this one?

    AT the end I turned them down as I am afraid of trying meds that have not been approved yet. What do you guys think.

    I especially felt this way because I have to continue using my meds anyway, so whats to say which medicine is really working!

    i have heard about this study.
    it goes for 1 year, with an extra 2 years extension.
    i am outside of there area, so i cannot do it.
    i think go for it.

    it already has had small studies, they went well.
