    Default Hello from someone new.

I am thankful I stumbled across this site, as I was diagnosed with SLE in June of last year, and I am completely lost. Reading the various medical sites is confusing and not a great deal of help, hoping that reading what real people have to say will clear up some of my questions and confusion.

    Hi Trish,

Welcome to WHL. I am glad, that you have found us.
You are right, some of those medical sites are not very helpful.
But now, that you have found us, help is coming your way. When I joined WHL, a few years ago, I was confused as well.
I did learn alot here, because most of us are going through the same things, like symptoms and meds.
So, if you have any questions, we will try and answer them. Of course, none of us are doctors, we can just tell you about our own experiences.

I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).

    Hi Trish,

I think adding the "human element" to complex medical issues definitely helps a person understand the issue better. And Lupus, as you have learned, is complex.

Welcome to our group, and please feel free to ask any questions you need to ask.

Best bunch of people anywhere! Plus a wealth of knowledge, love and support. Come back often and join in anytime. Lupus is scary, confusing and often frustrating. We'll always be here when you need a good laugh or a shoulder to cry on.
