Dr. Laura Suarez in San Antonio, Texas. She has RA and other auto immune issues herself. She is wonderful, explains everything very well and cuts right to the point. If you like things sugar coated she may not be the best doc for you. I like docs who are honest and real with me and do not talk to me like I am illiterate - she explains things as if you were a fellow doctor and expects people to have done your homework on your body and the medications you're taking and how you've responded to them.
Don't wait. The time will never be just right.

I see Dr Maria Fondal in Stockbridge, Ga. She was referred by my PCP who actually loves her. She is nice but sometimes I feel rushed during my visits.

I'm about to see Dr. Khandelwal, in Midland, Texas (west Texas). I haven't heard good things. Those San Antonio docs are looking like I'm gonna be making a trip to the Alamo if this guy doesn't work out! Thanks for this thread, it really does help!!

Dr. Blake Simpson in SA is a great otolaryngologist. His buddy Dr. Mark Coury, who I'm seeing in San Francisco is very good, too.
Dr. Michelle Anson in SA is the best PCP I've ever had.

Do you think it's worth it to make the trip to see her if my docs here continue to dissapoint? (It's about a 4-5 hour drive... But hell, there's the riverwalk and Sea World!!!!)

I don't think I had seen this thread, then again Lupus brain farts are at it again! I see Dr. Nora Sandorfa at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia PA. She's very attentive and takes long time with her patients which of course make it for a long wait. But its worth it!
