    Default Palandromic arthritis

Still looking for diagnosis. not enough indicators met for diagnosis of lupus. rheumy now talking about palandromic arthritis. Like most of us I'm on plaquenil but he added predinzone for active flares. Anyone else had this experience? Not knowing what condition actually is really sucks

    Hi MawMaw,

    Welcome to WHL.
I have never heard of palandromic arthritis. Did the doctor explain to you, what it is?
But since he thinks that you have enough indicators for lupus, putting you on Plaquanil and Prednisone, was the best thing he could do.
    Has he ordered more bloodtests?

    Debbie
I may have been dealt a bad hand, but at least I'm still playing with a full deck. ( most of the time anyway).

    Default Comes & goes

Rheumy has not yet diagnosed Lupus. Palandromic Arthritis is arthritis that comes & goes. There is swelling of joints & surrounding muscles with pain, redness & warmth. Sometimes low grade fever. Flares last about 3 days. Right now it seems as one area of flare is fading, another one is starting. Can become RA but plaquenil may lessen that chance. Haven't found much online about it yet. Seems to be kind of rare. one website in England (I think) says Over 2 million people across country with RA but little over 200 thousand with this.
