Default Guess what the doctor said now!

Well I had my 3 month appt. with my rheumatologist today and now she is wondering if she misdiagnosed me. She had me point to where the pain is and says that my symptoms could indicate spondyloarthropathy. I can't even say it and now that I look it up, it seems that these symptoms and Lupus can almost mimic each other. She gave me a shot in the back to ease what she thought was a muscle spasm in the trapezius muscle but I don't feel any different. I did mention that the Plaquenil is really helping so why would that be happening? She said it could be a mix of things. She prescribed Diclofenac with the Plaquenil and I go back in 4 months. If anybody knows anything about the spondyloarthropathy I would appreciate hearing about it.

Sorry I haven't been on much this week. We started school this week and I am exhausted at night. I hope everyone else has had an awesome week.

remember that there is no test for lupus.
you know you have it when everything else is ruled out.

also there is quite a few other ilnesses that have similar symptoms to lupus. or some of the symptoms are the same.

it does not really mater what they call it...... as long as it is treated.

i hope that they make you better, whatever it is.

Steve called it perfectly. Lupus is what they called it when they have ruled out everything else. as long as you are getting the meds we really don't about what the name is. I will paste a link below giving you more information on what your doctor said.

I agree. I don't care what we call it, just don't take my Plaquenil away. I will stay on the Plaquenil for now and have started the new medicine today. I'll keep you posted what happens. Thanks for the link too. I found that one last night.

    Have a great weekend everyone.
