I just found out that I am pregnant. (Im a 2 days late on my cycle so I am most likely barely 3 weeks pregnant) My dosage of methotrexate has been subcu injection My vial is 25mg/ML and I have been on 0.4ml 1x a week but the last dose I had was the week of june 15th. Essentially I am estimating to have had at least one dose during the pregnancy. Obviously I am concerned about methotrexate use. I do not plan to take anymore methotrexate and have not taken any methotrexate since at least a week before conception. I went to an OBGYN this morning who sent off blood test to confirm pregnancy. Once he gets the result back (tonight or tomorrow) he will refer me to a high risk OBGYN to assess viability of the pregnancy. What does that mean to assess viability of the pregnancy. It was hard to find research on how patients in this situation are managed. Will I most likely be required to terminate the pregnancy? My husband and I were a bit surprised obviously. Will the pregnancy be viable? Are the risks to the fetus too significant to even attempt to continue the pregnancy? someone help me out with some experience here please.
